Bingo Hall Fundraiser
The Netball Club of Westbury held a pink bingo fundraising event to help raise money for the Breast Cancer Care charity. The fundraiser was held at the Leigh Church in Westbury and was completely full of families, friends, and members of the community of Westbury. This even raised over £780. The reason this charity was chosen is because one of the bingo club’s founders was diagnosed with breast cancer. The event organizers were pleased with the support they got from businesses that made prize donations as well.
Silent Auction
One of the highlights of the event was the silent auction. The prizes included a signed rugby ball by the Bath Rugby Club and a dinner for two at the Three Horseshoes. The other donors included: SK Fruits, The Black Horse in Trowbridge, Leighton Recreation Center, Beautopia, Hatters Tea Rooms, Suave, P. Everall & Company, Tesco, Number Twelve, Shake Cup, Eden Beauty, and Splodges. The club chairman Betty Fellows said that they were so happy that everyone could join them and they were very happy with amount of money that was raised for the charity. Fellows also said that Breast Cancer Care was a worthy cause because most people know someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
